BatchCodeLookup.com is an independent reference project that helps people judge how old their cosmetics are, and is honest about what can and cannot be known.
What we do
- Collect publicly documented batch code formats and record how strong the evidence is.
- Decode a code only when a documented rule exists, and show the evidence level with every result.
- Offer free calculators for expiry and PAO that work for any brand.
- Publish plain-English guides.
What we do not do
- We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any brand.
- We do not guess a date for brands without a verified rule.
- We do not claim a code proves a product is genuine, safe or in date.
How the site is funded
The site is free. It may show advertising and contains Amazon affiliate links, which means we can earn a commission from qualifying purchases at no extra cost to you. Funding never changes what a rule says. See the disclosures.
Corrections
If you spot a mistake or can confirm what a code means, please tell us. Dated, verified examples are the most valuable thing you can send.
